Dear Dr. Paulson, Desirae, technicians, receptionists, and anyone I missed, thank you so much for your kindness with our beloved Goldie.
Even though you were overbooked, you worked us in the same day. We thought it was just to give her a good exam. We were amazed that you took the time to let her go. You never rushed us during our final moments. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful and gave us the time we needed. I'm sure you were all there late in the evening catching up.
After her initial injection, it was so wonderful to see her relaxed in Morse's arms. We had not seen her look like that in quite some time. It was an event that we knew was close and we couldn't even fathom the idea. Thank you for making it such a peaceful, truly loving event. She looked like her puppy-self.
Dr Paulson you knew the minute we walked in what the result would be. Morse and I have discussed the fact that you assessed us as well as Goldie. We were exhausted from her 24/7 care, but she was worth every minute. Thank you for being so gently honest with us, we still had a shred of hope, but we're now relieved that she is no longer suffering. And especially thank you for not taking her out of the room to place her IV. Keeping her stress-free was the best end we could have wished for.
Dr Paulson you are an experienced, intelligent and very kind veterinarian, with a wonderful, compassionate bedside manner, you are just the best. Morse and I hope that you can possibly teach the younger generation the correct way to provide good medical care to pets and their owners.
